Two Oklahoma therapeutic riding centers received grants in December from The Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma – Turing Point Ranch and The Right Path. Drumright’s The Right Path provides Therapeutic Equine-Assisted Programs free of charge to participants. Their mission is to provide an equestrian environment where participants can achieve their highest potential – physically, emotionally, and cognitively – through the unique avenue of equine-assisted activities.
The Right Path’s grant of $50,000 allows their program, Hooves on the Ground, for military veterans, active duty, and first responders, to be expanded by completing their Extreme Mountain Trail Course. The course is designed to help participants overcome obstacles, build confidence and find restoration. The grant also helps support The Right Path’s capital campaign to expand their facilities, grow their staff and provide more programs for participants free of charge.
With the assistance of the MCFOK Grant, this year The Right Path has been able to provide services 1,291 participants in five different programs free of charge. They also completed their Extreme Mountain Trail Course for the Hooves on the Ground program.
We are proud to support a program that has the potential to improve the lives of Oklahomans in need – at no cost to the participants.
