On March 6, 2017, Connors State College graciously hosted representatives of the Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma to commemorate the establishment of a $50,000 permanent endowment at the state-funded school.
The grant represents an ongoing effort by the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma to place endowed funds at every publicly funded university and college in Oklahoma.
Income from the endowment will be used for a new program in which students apply for grant funds to accomplish community projects for which they see a need. The application process requires students to put together a project plan, and committee of administrators and local community representatives choose which grants will be funded each year.
