Ramona Lodge Helps Local
Woman Who Has Cancer

I

Ramona Lodge No. 326 sponsored a Benefit Auction and Lunch on July 19, 2009.  The proceeds were used to assist a local woman who is battling cancer.
The woman is a loved and respected long time resident of the Ramona and Ochelata communities in Northeastern Oklahoma.  She has been suffering with a brain tumor and recent surgery has left her family devastated financially.
This event raised $5,000.00 which was matched by the Masonic Charity Foundation.  This enabled the Lodge to present $10,000.00 to her and her family to relieve some of the financial distress they were experiencing.
Under the direction of Ramona Lodge, the communities came together by donating pies and other auction items to make the fund raiser very successful!  Some items donated for drawings were $100 in groceries, a new electric 20# smoker, 2 half beefs and processing.
The lunch, along with food service, was donated by Ella's Restaurant, a local eatery.
