The Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma’s Senior Essay Contest brings a new addition for the 2016-2017 school year. Every year, local contest winners are selected from every participating school and are recognized with a certificate. Those local winners compete against other Oklahoma students, with the top twenty selected as Statewide winners. Statewide winners receive cash prizes ranging from $100 to $2,000 each.

For the 2016-2017 school year, an additional cash prize has been added to recognize the top Statewide Men’s division and Statewide Women’s division winner. In addition to the cash prizes awarded to the student, a $5,000 cash prize will be granted to the school where the Statewide first place winner is enrolled. For each program year, two schools will receive $5,000 each in recognition of the Statewide first place contest winner.

Any high school senior enrolled in an Oklahoma public school is eligible to compete in the Senior Essay Contest. For more information about the program or to see a list of last year’s Statewide winners, visit our Senior Essay Contest webpage.  The submission deadline for this year’s contest is October 31, 2016.
